Wild Pigeon is an acoustic female trio. With a repertoire that reaches back to include old time, bluegrass and country flavours. Toes will find themselves tapping and occasionally a tear is shed as fond memories are stirred up through the songs and stories the Wild Pigeon shares. With all three gals sharing lead and harmony vocals their sound and textures are ever changing and always captivating.

~ Bass, lead & harmony vocals. Undoubtedly the wild card in the group. She’s a wrangler that needs wrangling.

~ Guitar, banjo, lead & harmony vocals. This is my day job- that requires I work nights!

~ Fiddle, lead & harmony vocals. The ‘elegant’ one who I’m sure was a saloon proprietress in another time.

Bios

has the heart of a true Cariboo woman. If she’s not wrangling one of her sheep, tracking down a horse or trying to keep her dogs in the yard, you will likely find her on stage with the Wild Pigeon.

Danielle sings like an angel, plays bass, guitar, banjo and occasionally writes a song or two. She’s a fun lovin’ gal with heaps of talent and amazing grit. Danielle is well known for her kindness as well as a bit of a salty attitude!

landed in the Cariboo 3 years ago-and hasn’t looked back! Her music career has taken her across Canada and throughout the United States.

Tracy is a singer, songwriter, musician, and performer. She has performed with the likes of the Savage Hearts and Greg Blake, and has performed at Vancouver Island Music Fest, Salmon Arm Roots & Blues festival and at the International Bluegrass Music Association in Raleigh North Carolina.

Tracy sings lead and harmony vocals and some say when she sings an old country song she can bring a tear to a glass eye! Tracy plays guitar and loves to share her new found affection for playing clawhammer banjo.

is a longtime resident of the South Cariboo. As a descendant of the Felker family who arrived in the Cariboo in the mid-1860s, Tanya’s interest in the area and all things Gold Rush truly do date back to the Gold Rush era.

Tanya has attended various music camps as an teaching assistant, and loves to bring the joy of music to others. She teaches private lessons and is a part of the team that puts on Mountain Fever Bluegrass Camp.

Tanya was a longtime member of Front Porch, a bluegrass band based in the South Cariboo.

Between sets Tanya is a busy rancher. If she is not singing lead or harmony vocals or playing guitar, you can be sure she is fiddling with all she’s got sending the cows over the moon!

Offerings

Wild Pigeon provides a variety of entertainment and educational options. We are excited to be able to present an engaging musical experience that showcases the lives of women of the Cariboo Gold Rush.

We often hear the stories of the men heading off in search of gold, but not much has been shared about the women. Some were left behind in distant lands, others travelled with their families, and others travelled on their own looking to fulfill their dreams of finding gold.
